About the comedians…

Ben MacLean:
A semi-finalist in Britain’s prestigious “So You Think You’re Funny?” competition, Ben MacLean is the world’s only diplomat-turned-comedian (and flight attendant!) who’s been living in Berlin for over 8 years. The host of the monthly showcase Go West Comedy, he’s known for his charming stage presence and hilarious-yet-relatable stories about exploring the world, love gone wrong and growing up the youngest of seven kids (spoiler alert: he’s the only one who turned out gay). Featured in German magazines such as Männer, this Canadian has performed in Los Angeles, Cape Town, Barcelona and London (not to mention Leipzig).

Carmen Chraim
Carmen Chraim is a beloved comedian on the Berlin English comedy scene. Born and raised in Lebanon, she wins over crowds with her high-energy presence and rapid-fire anecdotes. With her Middle Eastern background, love for hummus, long experience with corporate Germans and sarcastic opinions about life, politics and people in the U-Bahn, nothing could really escape her memory.
Carmen used to produce many shows in Berlin, but is so tired of trying to figure out Facebook ads algorithms, so she stopped.

Hosting the show:
Brittni Bowering:
Brittni started her comedy career after moving to Berlin and realizing she didn’t have a good name for a career in anything else (other than pop star, but that was already taken). She’s Canadian, which makes her friendly with very little edge. Her style is fun and quirky, mostly telling stories about her life and adventures living as a Brittni. She also happens to host a weekly open mic every Sunday in Berlin Mitte (Adorable Idiots – Comedy Open Mic In Mitte), and it’s a real HOOT.
