Emotional Support (engl/ger) – Double Bill

Ready for a bilingual stand-up show – half English, half German? If you are slightly obsessed with Selbst-Liebe und Stand-up , our “emotional support” show will hit the spot.

About Freddi Gralle:

Freddi Gralle comes from the English Comedy Scene, currently working/touring? On her Solo Hour „Meditate on this.“

Freddi Gralle finds herself on an obsessive quest to find happiness in the modern world.

She has tried it all: romantic love, self-love, God’s love, dating apps, meditation apps and even a Christian commune. Equipped with nothing but brutal honesty, she bravely explores the shadows of a ludicrous world and brings home dark jokes on the state of our 21st century society. She’d like to be more optimistic, but being German doesn’t exactly help.

Solo Show: Meditate on this (Freddi Gralle)

A comedy show for everyone struggling thru the labyrinth of dating and meditation apps.

Berlin comedian Freddi Gralle digs deep and finds comedy where it hurts: our human bias for suffering and our absurd attempts to avoid it. Freddi has tried it all: romantic love, self-love, God’s love, dating apps, meditation apps and even a Christian commune. Equipped with nothing but brutal honesty, she bravely explores the shadows of a ludicrous world and brings home dark jokes on the state of our 21st century society. She’d like to be more optimistic, but being German doesn’t exactly help.

Sunday, 8.30 pm (doors 8 pm)
at Mad Monkey Room

Freddi grew up between different cultures before she settled in Berlin and started doing stand-up both in English and German. Her material is deeply personal, sardonically stimulating, with a deep love for ranting and meta-jokes. Freddi took her first stand-up hour “Church Girl, Interrupted” all over Europe and shared it with wonderful audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe ’22. You can find her work on German television (Comedy Central Germany’s Roast Battles, Sky One, Till Reiners Happy Hour, Shapira! Shapira!) and when she is not on stage, Freddi writes for film and tv and enjoys to see men cry.
